[Shotimes] exhaust leak

the exhaust pipe on my 94 ATX leaks. badly. the leak is after the resonator,
where the pipe changes diameters before the first 90 degree bend. The hanger
appears to have gone soft and the pipe is flexing, and the joint has gone bad.
I've tried all sorts of patches and tapes to fix it, but nothing works. I
tried cement, but that was ineffective as well. What the heck do I need to do
to fix this? do I need to just bite the bullet and take it to Al's muffler?
stupid torque's all gone.
