If you are referring to the plastic pin that hold everything together, this
post from Terry Richards last week on the forum should answer your question:

"Per my conversation with Gary earlier this year - the little nylon pin is
to keep the TOB from sliding forward when installing the tranny. It serves
no other purpose than that.

The TOB is in constant contact with the PP, so it needs no retainer to keep
it in place. I only know this because I tried to install my tranny with out
anything holding the TOB, quess what - TOB slide forward and rotated on the
release fork. I was a little pissed to have to remove the tranny to correct
it. I used a zip tie to hold the TOB in place as recommeded by Gary."

FWIW, a SHONut TOB that I installed a couple of weeks ago came with a new
plastic pin.
