Hmm I'm gonna have to check this all out on the junked gen4 at the local
yard near me. I had my heart set on a 16in rimsize spare tire.

But they also changed something else, IIRC they have a NEW number for this
bracket NOT fn74 like you need, the spacing on the new one does not work
properly. Hurder bought a set of the new ones to retro on a old rusty gen 2
(:)) and they were rubbing.

Van OSS what do you need? I just got another 97 for parts the car is 100
percent complete and has the brake stuff that you need.

It has Chromies too! May be spoken for already though

The 00 and 01 had the same brakes as the GEN II SHO and 96-99 SLO. In 2002
they started to use the larger 11.6 inch rotor and the 598 sized pad.
Hopefully because of this pad manufactueres will start making more pads for
this fitment.

BTW: I bought a set of brackets for 36 dollars each.

I thought it was all 2000+ Taurus and Sables that had the new brackets on
them.

Or from a 2002+ Taurus or Sable.

The price of new brackets has come down considerably so it might just be
easier to buy them new.

To convert a 95 LX wagon to 96 SHO brakes, all I need is:

- caliper brackets from a 95 Lincoln Continental
- rotors for a 95 Conti
- 96 SHO pads

Right?
