[Shotimes] pinstripe

I watched them put pinstripes on vehicles at Atlanta. They
have a jig that attaches to the holes inside the front
turnsignal and taillight openings (obviously at a point in
assembly before these items are installed).

This allows a person to walk down the car with a good
old-fashioned pin strip tool (paint holder, with a small
wheel to apply the paint) and apply the stripe. I am trying
to remember how they get the point at the end, I think they
used a throw-away bit of plastic tape at the front to make
mask in the point. Not 100% sure of that.

My '89 has a paint stripe that I think is factory. Almost
NO aftermarket stripes are painted on, only ones I have seen
are vinyl unless you have a custom striper at a car show.

I have no idea what decided which cars got a stripe and
which ones didn't. Most did not.
