Since the stripe is painted on, you'll be hard pressed to remove it.  So
I would re-do it with vinyl.  You can get white pinstripe at almost any
auto parts store.  Just go over the painted stripe with the vinyl, it's
not that difficult and should look fine.

None of my SHOs came with a pinstripe along the side, just above the
crease.
My wife's 95 LX wagon did come with one, and I have seen them on many
Tauri.
Does anyone know which cars got a pinstripe?  Was it a factory or a
dealer
item?

Also, was it painted on?  It does not appear to be a tape or sticker.

The white pinstripe on my wife's dark green car has faded.  Any tips for
refurbing it or removing it?
