[Shotimes] sun roof seal replacement

I am going to replace the moon roof seal on my 91 every day driver.

I have a new factory ford seal that I will be using.

I did remove a sunroof from one of my parts car and took off the old 
seal. I saw a inner seal .. a rubber insert that went inside the seal 
for about 2 feet i guess. 

Has anyone replaced there seal and can give me any tips.
