[Shotimes] COLD !!!!

I've noticed this behavior on cold days in my old ranger. 
 Over the course of 2 minutes the temp gauge would go from 
80% to 20%.  I'm guessing the cooling system was very 
efficient on cold days and the thermostat was trying to 
maintain the temps but it would have to bounce the spring 
open and closed to do that.

I think the fix is to put some cardboard over a portion of 
the rad... I see big delivery trucks running around here 
like that during the winter...
