I think but I'm not sure that the gen 3 taurus MFS switch fits the gen2
cars. The steering column is very similar from what I have seen in the junk
yards. Anyone out there with a gen3 parts car want to try it out?

"The Ford quality has proven itself - 3 units bad in 10 years and 64k
miles."

Reminded me of the combo switch in my big old '73 T-boat with about 40k at
that time. When I went to turn on the wipers one day, the switch fell to
pieces behind the dash. It came loose from its mount, shorted on something
and started showering sparks down on my feet. By the time I got pulled over
and shut the power down, it had started a fire under the dash and I had to
dive underneath and smother it out. A pretty exciting 60 seconds.
