The rails that bolt to the floor are a separate piece, and you don't really
have to get a whole seat. You can also weld the cracked bracket pieces. I'll
even bet it's the LF bracket, as a number of us who had/have '89s have had
the problem.

I got mine welded when it broke the first time, then a few years later it
broke again and I got the rail setup (which includes the motors) from a
'90-'91 in the junkyard.

Thank you for the responses on the idling problem.

I am interested in picking up a set of rails for the driver-side seat in an
'89 model.  I currently rock backwards, every time I accelerate because one
of
the rails broke, and I suspect the other one is bent now because it has been
broken a while.

If anyone has a set of grey seats that are not cracked, with all of the
pieces
to attach them (rails, lumber power, power positioning, etc.)  I might be
interested in purchasing them.
