Minor movement (fraction of an inch) is fairly normal. 
Anything of an inch or more could be the LF (for drivers 
seat) about to tear loose.

I had the LF on my 89 break three times!  Last weld seems to 
be holding.  But the added weld weight is slowing my car 
down!  Hold it, maybe it was the burger I had for lunch...

Never mind.
