Don, I'm doing the work myself. I already have the BBB, ProFlow77, HiFlow Ypipe, Walker exhaust, UDPs. I don't have an LPM yet. Planning on getting one from Ted soon though. I thought about getting the oversize valves too, and also to upgrade to bronze valve guides. I assume that I need to remove the cylinder head to install the valves? How does one port the cylinder heads, and is this a worthwhile effort? Can I do this myself with a dremmel tool and a grinding wheel?Michael94MTX,green,BOS+--- On Thu 01/08, Don Donelson < 1badsho@tnh.net > wrote:From: Don Donelson [mailto: 1badsho@tnh.net]To: molsen@excite.comDate: Thu, 8 Jan 2004 12:58:41 -0500Subject: Re: [Shotimes] Stage 1 CAMs for SHO MTXThe gains are noticable .. but its not like your going to get 50 more hp.When u put BBB and ported heads on .. or over size race valves .. and a LPM .. for the EEC .. and u do it at one time than its seat of the pants noticable.Who are u having install them .... i rebuild SHO motors and have installed about a dozen of these on previous motors .dond ---------- Original Message ----------------------------------From: "molsen@excite.com" Reply-To: molsen@excite.comDate: Thu, 8 Jan 2004 12:50:41 -0500 (EST)>Hi,>I'm considering installing Stage 1 CAM on my 94 MTX. >Do any of you have these installed?>Are the HP gains noticable?>What are the downside?>---Michael>94MTX, BOS+, Koni/Intrax, Corbeau>>_______________________________________________>Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com>The most personalized portal on the Web!>_______________________________________________>Shotimes mailing list>Shotimes@autox.team.net>http://www.team.net/mailman/listinfo/shotimes>
