[Shotimes] 80mm MAF failure, CLEANING procedure and
Materials?

The oiled cone filter that came with the SHOshop 80mm MAF, can and snorkel
kit seemed to be big enough, but it only lasted 3 washings. I washed with
the K&N cleaning kit, but after the third time, it developed holes. I
sealed these with silicone.
When nobody on this or the tech list could come up with a good number for a
K&N, so I could buy it from Mallinson, I went to AutoZone. Got one that was
close. The large end is about 1" all around smaller than the SHOshop can
opening.
The K&N appears to be a little higher quality. But I would like to have a
slightly bigger one. The K&N listings were a little hard to coach the AZ guy
through...
