Frankly, if someone is going through the trouble of installing Koni inserts,
there are not ANY stock Taurus springs that should be used!! If someone
wants stock Taurus springs, but the stock SHO Motorcraft struts and call it
a day.

Fred,

Another person you might want to talk with is Torrie at FordPartsNetwork.
If my conversations with him a few weeks ago are any indication, then he
should be able to get you just about any Gen 1 spring set that you desire.
The only potential downside is the cost. When I asked him about a set of
front '90 JJ springs, he was able to get them for me but at a price of $73
per spring (total cost with shipping for 2 would be over $150). That was a
little too steep for my already soaked up suspension budget, so I decided
to go with the slightly softer Moog CC858 front springs instead.

FWIW and YMMV. ;)

I'd still check with Ford, but in talking with Nick Chrimes yesterday he
indicated that the OEM springs are NLA from Ford. If you can get part
numbers from Ford, you can check PartsVoice and Green Sales for NOS parts.
