A snail made it across the sidewalk today.....I got something done.

It is amazing how quiet it is now. I only had to do one side, but I checked the
other one to be sure, while it was up in the air. The outer bearing was fine while
spinning free, on the bad side, but when installed on the hub, it was quite noisy.
Cost me 55 bucks per side, plus 16 for the socket. Took 30 minutes total for the
two sides. Dealer wanted $500!!! (I just checked for grins.) Can you believe
that!!?? I can take one hub back and keep it below $100.

It's been going out for a long time....the car is so quiet now it reminds me of the
GS.

Well, almost!! ;-)

And it doesn't leak coolant anymore, either. It's sure glad to be on the road
again....it's been sitting since Thanksgiving. Time for MY projects....?
What's that!!??

Yay.....another derelict is on the road. Tomorrow, Lowrider goes in to the stereo
shop for its Christmas present....a free reinstallation of all the wiring, amp
board, rear battery, speakers, and whatever else is not where it's supposed to be
for tunes.

Then.....I can put the interior together, the rear windows in, and get it going.

Yesssssssssssssssssssssss....

And, the black car will come home, with a/c and heat, and be driveable. It's
transformation (this stage) will begin. It gets its new (stock portion) interior,
Wilwoods, black wheels swapped in place of the chrome ones, and initial preparation
for paint.

Things are slowly coming together. And for Josh and Josh, I'm working on
it.....haven't forgotten.
