I just got mine retitled and plated, passed inspection and smog no problems,
started driving it to work this week, about a 30mi round trip on main surface
streets, about a half hour each way. Haven't had the chance yet to calibrate
mileage but I'm using about one notch per day in the midrange of the gas
gauge. So that seems like about what y'all are reporting around 25 if I baby it,
which I'm certainly doing. Hell, I'm not even playing any tunes just listening
and feeling the car.

Did have my first opportunity to lean on it a bit this afternoon coming home,
on a deceptively ill-cambered twisty stretch I'm in the right lane and along
comes this little skateboard coupe flying around the curve behind me, halfway
over in the oncoming lane. Four inches of clearance, full ground effects,
Formula 1 spoiler and still can't keep it between the lines. I pushed on the gas
and he tried to get past, had to dive in behind me to turn right at the next
light. Yee doggies! just wait till I freshen up the undercarriage!

After all, the chance to do that is worth the mileage penalty. Gotta tell
you though ... at about 2/3 throttle I'm going "when are the secondaries gonna
open up" ... yeah, REAL old school.
