[Shotimes] 92 Clock Light

The 92 clock is similar to the clock in your 94, there is just an extra
button and the display lights up differently. The clock is actually
attached from behind with 2 screws and there are 4 holes in the dash
surround, one for the display and 3 for the buttons to poke through.
There is no way to remove the clock from the front. That can only be
done on the Gen 1 as it uses a completely different style of clock.
Bill, I never had the light go out in my 92 when I had it, but I do
remember that it lit up similar to the indiglo watches. I'm not sure if
there really is a bulb inside it, or if it has an EL panel. The 92 is
also the only year to have this style of clock, and personally it is my
favorite. I liked it better having the background light up with dark
numbers than lit numbers on a black background.

I do not own a 92 but every 3 button clock that I have ever seen has
this
feature. I urge you to look one more time. It will save a lot of work
removing dash parts. There is a "crease or indention" that outlines
the
clock where it fits into the dash. It is rectangular. Look along the
bottom line of this slightly right of center and there is a very small
"hole". It is only large enough to accept a straightened SMALL
paperclip or
a straight pin. It you insert a paper clip in that hole and push
slightly,
the clock can be removed. My 91 has this feature and my old 88 SLO had
this
feature. My 94 (2 button clock) does not have this feature.
Thanks,
David
