Wrong weight oil.   I don't think 5W20 is the recommended weight for the
duratech, I think it is still 5W30.  Double check the owners manual and
either have the dealer change the oil or do it yourself and see it the noise
goes away.

Ok, was miss-informed. The '03 currently has Valvoline
(dino) 5w-20 in it. Very light weight, but the dealer
reccomended it for that car. My father said it almost
sounds like the noise is coming from the "tappets" or
something like that, but wasn't sure if these new
engines even have them...
