[Shotimes] You gotta be kidding me

Tell your local dealer to suck eggs!!!!

As with many Japanese cars, many of the options are "dealer-installed", but
that is not the issue of the buyer!

FWIW, I found crap like this out when I moved from Detroit (with a car
dealer on every corner) to Raleigh NC (with a limited number of dealers).
They tried to pull similar crap when I wanted a new Corvette.

Check around the internet, and buy from a dealer out of you immediate area.
IIRC, Randy Smith bought his WRX wagon here in Detroit and got a bunch off
the sticker even last May.

I spent a lot of time in Colombia working. While there I dreamed of buying
a Subaru WRX Sport Wagon with some performance options. So I go to the
dealer today to talk about ordering one up and am I in for a surprise. I go
to the web site beforehand and the car stickers out at $29,900. I just got
a call from my "friendly" dealer and my car as delivered will only cost me
$31,900. He explains that there is an installation charge for 8 of my
options. Such items as optional wheels and tires carry an installation
charge? There is a performance guage pak. Price $638 plus an installation
charge. These people are nuts. $2000 to install some stuff. That Cadillac
CTS-V is looking real good even if it doesn't come in white.
