[Shotimes] OT for the Star Trek geeks

Being the career systems analyst/logical guy who aced the Logic courses in
college, and doesn't like illogical stuff like sci-fi (and novels, for that
matter), these responses to my ST comments just confirm what I have felt
about ST "fans" all along.

Ron,
Your portrayal of ST fans is insulting and irrational.
You will put up with Matrix fans or "Ring" fans, but Star
Trek fans are to be insulted and worse?
Just like your hatred of Valentine 1, you seem to get on a
bandwagon about certain things. Frankly it just doesn't
make sense and you need to take a chill pill.
Let's see, Star Trek mostly does NOT use sex, drugs, hate of
authority, hate of parents, and DOES promote mostly decent
living and treating your fellow human in the way you would
hope people would treat you back.
Yep, Star Trek fans are WAY over the top! :)
Lots of things have fan clubs, there is one for virtually
EVERY series, or thing of any import. That you hate, with a
vengence, Star Trek is just plain sad.
The insulting insunuation you used is WAY below what I
thought was your own moral or ethics code. (no damn smiley
face there!)
The topic is clearly marked OT and if you hate it that much,
then don't open the message!
I and many others like the ST shows. There is some damn
good writing and acting. It is a TV Show! If it bothers
you that much, then just don't participate in any discussion
about it. OR else you should rant and rave about EVERY OT
discussion and finish insulting the rest of the on-line
community with your comparisons and remarks.
