[Shotimes] battery light on launch

I asked the question poorly, but I did get an answer I was looking for. I
knew that certain car parts stores have battery testers. This particularly
battery I have has been sitting in the garage for almost a year. The answer
I believe I got is that the testers in these stores have the ability to do a
basic test that lasts about 10 minutes. Just want to know if I should
recycle the battery or hold on to it for emergency purposes (if it in fact
is good).
