I bought an Optima for the '93MTX a while back and then 3 years later bought
them for my '95 MTX and the AWA's truck.
Well the '93's Optima went bad at 43 months and I could not find anybody to
even talk about warranty. Maybe this was the time that Johnson was buying
them? Optima e-mailed me like 12 distributors and if they were still in
business, they would not talk about warranty. But before that I had bought
2 more from a local distributor, who cashed my check and went out of
business.
The Optima in the '95 went sour in about 36 months and AutoZone, who now
handles them would not believe the date on my hand written receipt.
The Optima in the AWA's truck lasted about 48 months.
I think that these things (all red tops) are no better than a regular
battery,but cost twice as miuch.
