Hopefully, you bought a unit that was specifically designed and built for
use in a manual transmission vehicle. Most are not.
Unless you have the proper type of remote starter that forces the driver to
perform certain steps to ensure that the transmission is out of gear and
that the e-brake is set to enable the remote starting procedure, usage of
the remote start is NOT recommended.
Failure to use the correct type of alarm and to follow the necessary
pre-starting precautions will result in a car that can be remotely cranked
while the transmission is in gear, the clutch is out, and no one is at the
controls. Very dangerous!
Once you have hte proper type of remote starter system, bypassing the clutch
interlock switch to enable the starter is not difficult.
