First off if you think he was a captian you people are really wacked. And second there was no way he was a kangaroo to boot. Make belive never contributed anything to this world and you people that watched it are a sad lot.
Opps I just had a Ron Porter moment.
When my 7 year old daughter heard this she asked her mom what's a Captian Kangaroo. I guess I never thought about it she never saw the show. My 2 year old son will never see either Mr Rogers or the Captian. I wonder how long it will take for someone to release this stuff on DVD.

Sad to hear that Bob Keeshan: Captain Kangaroo, has died.
A lot of us grew up watching him, Bunny Rabbit and Mr. Green
Jeans.
As someone that majored in Radio/TV, I was indirectly
involved in the creation of Sesame Street(all of us in
public TV at the time considered it a "family" thing) and we
all though very highly of the Captain.
Never a harsh word, good ethics and morals were taught and
all in fun.
The Captain remained a true children's advocate his entire
life. ONe of the best people you could ever hope to have
known, even if only on the TV screen.
