[Shotimes] jumper wire for cd player

I never got the full story on how the radio head units works for the CD
versus the non-CD version for the gen 2s; are there two separate part
numbers for the head units?  If I wanted to add the dash single CD player, I
have to replace my head unit, right?  And there shouldn't be any
compatability issues with the trunk mounted Ford 10 disc changer I assume
since that works on the radio freq.
