And what sound do you expect to hear?  The "whomp, whomp, whomp" of a
Vietnam-era 2-blade Huey?  That's the sound YOU hear from the OUTSIDE, miles
in front of the helicopter as the rotor blades "slap the air into
submission".  The only noise the pilot and gunner hear is the soothing
"whirr" of 2 jet turbines which can be easily filtered out by their intercom
system.  They do not hear not the rotor blade slap.  Besides, the Apache has
a four-bladed main rotor which makes it infinitely quieter than the 2-bladed
Huey's and Cobra's.
