The only reason I can think of as to why Ford didn't put it on MTX cars is that the gearshift doesn't always go through reverse like it does on ATX vehicles. I've had mine wired up for over 10 years. No problem. I did put a toggle switch in the loop that I put in the connector for the seat switch. That way I can keep it from locking, if I want to. If you get locked out, the keypad will unlock the doors, so I saw no reason not to do it.

Just curious, why is autolock okay in an ATX car, but a bad idea for an MTX?
