[Shotimes] A/C, R12 to R416, OK ?

I used R406a which is a legal drop-in replacement for R-12 in the '93
several years ago.  Unfortunately the lines have since rusted too much to
hold anything.  I did some research several years ago and met the inventor
in Lafayette, Ind.  The product is now called Freeze12.  It could be the
same as R-416, but this guy had his product accepted by the EPA as R-406a.
Look at www.freeze12.com . but I think that you need certification to order
it.  The website has the link for certification.

Note that you could actually use propane, which this inventor says is
actually safer than converting to R-134.
