Barry,

    To remove the AC lines, you need springlock tools.  They can be found
relatively cheaply and can be used to expand the springs that hold the lines
together and allow for them to pull apart.

    For a reasonable source for the lines, look at ackits.com, or I believe
acsource.com may carry parts too.

    I have the same problem on my '95 and I guess my biggest question there
would be how one can test the lines to figure out which one is actually
leaking.  I would be happy to pull the various AC lines if I could test them
(not to mention, if I could find plugs to plug the various pieces left on
the car.  When I did the AC on my Sable and a shop flushed the evaporator
core, they plugged it with rubber stoppers similar to those used in Chem
labs).  I also would want to ensure that the condenser and evap core are
still OK.  Then I would proceed with spending the money to flush and rebuild
the whole AC system!
