Most flatbed trucks have some dollies that can be put under one end of the
car and then the bed can be tilted and the whole thing drug up on to the bed
with little or no damage to the ground.

I thought it would be cool to see it scraping along the ground and onto
a flatbed, but the landlord might not be so keen on such action. My
garage is half of my basement, and the driveay is pretty long and steep
up to ground level.

It's a thought though! =)

Why go through the trouble to try and put wheels on something that's

A tow truck can just drag it out with the winch.

Well I got the Mustang out of the garage and the SHO in, and the
stripping process has begun. I took the intake off the other day to
sell
the BBBs and today I took the stereo stuff out I wanted, jacked it up
and started devising my plan for drivetrain extraction. I'm hoping I
can
unplug everything, pull the axles out and undo the shift linkage, undo
the motor and tranny mounts and pull the longblock and tranny up and
out. Sound right?

Then I started looking at the brakes and suspension, and got stuck
trying to decide if I can undo it all and still get the shell out of
my
garage. What I wanted to do was get some extra spares (to be able to
sell the slicers), and roll it out onto a tow truck once everything's
been yanked. I know it'd be bottomed out and would have no brakes, but
would the shell still roll in such a state? Would I have to fabricate
some kind of inserts (wood) to take the place of the suspension?
Inquiring minds want to know (so I can be able to sell the brakes and
suspension too rather than watch them get crushed).

I've already sold some of my spare parts (thanks buyers!); here's
