[Shotimes] tranny question... it's on topic, christina!

Hey all. I got my tranny completely flushed today... fluid was disgustingly
brown; it was long, long overdue for a flush.

Anyway, the problem is this. The magnet cought an extremely (for a tranny pan)
large chunk of metal that looks like it came from the edge of a valve shim...
but that's impossible... anyway, the chunk appeared to come from a concave
piece of metal about 1mm thick, about 2-3 inches wide, and with about a 7mm
concave offset. I'm not sure on these values, just using trigonometry and
memory (the piece got lost) to get these values. I'm afraid it's part of a
band. I know it's bad that anything that big would get caught on the magnet,
but *how* bad is it? the tranny still operates just fine. Shifts great.
