[Shotimes] SHO engine in RWD

There is a guy here in Atlanta that Doug Lewis knows who is (was?) building
a Cobra kit car with a SHO motor. Although I saw the car several years ago
I can't seem to remember too much about it

Ron,

Thanks for all the info on the tranny swap issue. I would
have thought that the 5-speed from the van or pickup would
be fine with the SHO engine, at least in mostly stock form
due to the heavier duty application needed for anything in
truck form or a van expected to haul big loads. But maybe not.

As for other cars, I think I remember about the Triumph, now
that you mention, it and I also didn't go into other swaps
like the two street rods that I know of that use the SHO
engine in a N/S format (RWD).

There are the hill climb cars and at least one dirt track
car (not sure if it ever got finished) all RWD, I am sure
there are others out there we have never heard of.

And of course this doesn't mention (since the discussion is
about N/S RWD applications) but there are at least two
Lotus's (Loti?) that are rear engine RWD, but they are an
E/W mounting. And the 6 or 7 SHOguns with the same layout.

How about the specialty car that was at the first
convention, that was also RWD, but the E/W layout. Forgot
the name, need to go back to my magazines to remember that
one, it was designed by a guy for TALL people!
