I had this saved from an email a while ago. Is this correct?
Engine
firewall
4 - 5 - 6
1 - 2 - 3
radiator
---------------------------
Coil pack
throttle body
5 - 1
6 - 2
4 - 3
radiator
If so, my car is wired wrong. I was attempting to replace plug wires
yesterday. To make a long story short, I only managed to get the front
3 changed. (damn hex cam cover bolts) I have issues now with a sort of
knocking sound. It's not the chain noise, this is louder. And didn't do
it
before I worked on it. I first thought I messed up wire routing. The
4-6-5 on the coil didn't make sense to me, even though I replaced them
one at a time. I didn't have anything at home to check routing from.
When I got here to work I looked this up and was surprised as heck.
My 1-2-3 on the coil pack (on the right side) go to the BACK of the
engine. 4-6-5 go to the front.
Would the engine even run this way?! I wouldn't think so, but maybe it
would. The car ran ok before I did anything, although it was missing
a little from oil in the wells. I'm replacing seals too.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
