I don't wish that ride back from Madison on my worst enemy. To hell with
New York or Boston traffic at rush hour, this was bad and the roads were

That's the way we went to Madison. On the way back we figured we would be
smart and head south out of Madison until we got to 80 to avoid the traffic.
Boy was that a mistake! Me with yet another converter on the way out and all
the traffic on the west side of Gary Somewhere in ILL it took forever!
Needless to say that 20 mile radius around Gary should be blown up, knocked
down and have a 50 lane highway there..

My map program says 1042.6 miles, staying in the US, taking I-90 through New
York and Pennsylvania, then pick up I-80 in Cleveland,Ohio continue through
Indiana to I-94 in Chicago, Illinois then up to Milwaukee.
