I don't think they are useless....you'd be amazed at what some folks don't know
about how their cars work. A little knowledge is a tremendous weapon.
As I said before, near the beginning of this discussion, I had a car that I was
totally convinced had a dropped valve, or a broken cam.....the driver said he had
overrevved it, and there will always be the first time that a SHO engine is damaged
by overrevving. It sure sounded like it when it cranked. The starter would have
been the LAST thing I would have suspected.
We're just trying to solve the problem the easiest way we can.
Also, remember......there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers.
