Joe:
Take a piece of plastic (I use a black trash bag) about the size of the
window/film that you are trying to remove. You need some spray cleaner with
ammonia in it. Now spray the window completely and cover with the trash bag.
Heat is a plus so do this in the sun. Check that the film stays wet. Longer
soak times make for easier removal. If you have a edge that is coming up
that will help. The edges will loosen first, so peel them back and then soak
some more. DO NOT GET IN A HURRY! You need to get the ammonia on the
adhesive between the window and the tint film. You can score the tint in
several area's in the middle to help the ammonia get to the glue. But with
patience all of it will come off. I use a towel at the bottom of the window
to keep the ammonia off the upholstery. The ammonia can fade colors and
stain materials.
