Sounds like the strut bearing/mount at the top of the strut, just under the three
nuts at the top of your strut towers, is beginning to rub the inside of the towers.
It's rubber, and can make the squeaking sound when turned with the steering wheel.
They do it a lot when they get old, enough so that there is a spacer sold by Ford to
lower the whole thing a fraction of an inch to stop the squeak. I just use washers,
which do the same thing, and do not require the removal of the strut to install.
