Bruce,
My Mazda 6 came with the Homelink system in the rearview mirror. The mirror
is available as a dealer installed option for 6s that didn't come with it
from the factory (http://www.mazdastuff.com/product.cfm?ProductID=1546). It
might be possible to replace the SHO mirror with it providing you can find a
may to mount it and get power to it. Just food for thought.

Subject: [Shotimes] Homelink?
Anyone out there know if the HOMELINK units found in many cars and trucks is
self contained in the small panel on the visor? I'm gonna be installing a
garage door opener on my garage, and was thinking about trying to find a
grey or black homelink unit that I could modify my sun visor with. I'd think
that if not 100% contained in the visor, there must be a small RF
transmitter in a vehicle. Though I have seen pics of how they tell users to
program the homelink, and they have them pointing the garage door remote at
the homelink unit on the visor, not that really means anything.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows
Bruce
