[Shotimes] AC questions, part 2

Okay, it's the condenser that's missing --- the "radiator" that goes in
front of the real radiator. One of the previous owners amputated the
refrigerant lines and removed the condenser, it seems. One of the cuts is
in a soft line running along the right inner fender, the other is in a metal
line near where it would have gone into the condenser.
Rebuilding the AC was not in my plans, but I'll try to look at it as a
chance to learn. Thanks Tim for the tips -- looks like ackits.com is a good
source.
If I have to replace the condenser, accumulator, and compressor, should I
just go ahead and make it an R134 system? The car is a 93 but if I buy
parts slated for a 95, the 95 parts would be designed for R134, yes?

It is most likely R12. Are you sure it is the evap that is missing?

this is the same job as replacing the heater core :-(. Perhaps you mean
the condensor is missing?
Condensor here:

Evap next to heater core, condensor in front of radiator.
