I second that opinion. Automatics have no soul. And for those who have never driven a stick you are missing out. 95% of what I own has a manual gear box. Nothing like turning the radio off opening the windows listening to the rpms climb while not watching the gauges shifting by sound.Just adding a stick to almost anything makes it a plesure it drive. I'd take a 5 speed anything over a automatic SHO. That's why there will never be a Gen 3 here unless I figure out a manual option for it.

My opinion only......

There needs to be a stick and clutch for a car to have soul that connects with me.
If I can't choose the gear, right or wrong, I am not communicating with it. I have
a GXS-300 Lexus that I am going to part with because I cannot connect with it. It's
otherwise absolutely perfect in every way a luxury sedan should be, but because it
is an ATX, even with the shift buttons on the wheel, we do not communicate like I
want us to. The car deserves its position on top of the JDP survey, but that
doesn't mean it is the perfect car for me.

An ATX SHO would be the same way. It can be made to handle and stop the way I want
it to, but the communication links, the clutch and shifter, would still be missing.
