Nitrous on a diesel? I thought you injected propane with diesels? Not saying
you can't use nitrous, I just hadn't heard of it.

Paul,

I should introduce you to the truck pull guy I took a ride
with a couple years ago. You would not believe how much fun
it is to ride in a highly modified truck pull monster!

This truck had a big block Diesel PowerStroke. Bored,
stroked, bunches of fuel mods. HUGE turbo!

Also a fuel system you could really appreciate.

Here was his routine to do a pull:

1. Turn on favorite music.
2. take up slack in chain and apply power about 1/2way.
3. Turn on first of TWO accessory fuel pumps and watch fuel
pressure
4. When boost comes up to a pre-set level, let off brake
and floor it!
5. REach down and turn on second fuel pump that throws in
more pressure.
6. Throw switch for NOS and also alcohol injection
(driver/builder also said that the tank had some other
"scary" stuff in it...as long as they were putting in alchol
to cool the motor, might as well make more hp!)
FEather throttle if neccessary till tires dig in, shut down
and take a breath!

All over in about 15 seconds.
