[Shotimes] windshield replacement

94 needs a windshield, it's cracked.  Came this way from PO; insurance is
not going to be involved.  Questions:

-- Local glass shops don't want to install a used windshield.  Is it even
worth thinking about doing it myself?

-- When I call local shops to ask about them installing new glass, I should
tell them it's not an insurance job, yes?  Any other tips?

-- Do new windshields normally come with the metal attached where the
rearview mirror mounts?
