Well you have two options on used you can do it yourself and risk cracking a used one. Or catch a glass guy and pay him on the side to put it in. I've got a buddy that does glass so I'll let you in a secret he let me in on. They pay an average of 5-10 dollars for windshields they are made in indo china or some god forsaken place. Pat has my new one at his house. It's got a small scratch on it in the upper pass side I got it for a case of Budweiser and that includes install. But if you go new and without knowing anyone make sure you tell them it's no insurance and you know they don't pay a whole lot for them to begin with.

94 needs a windshield, it's cracked. Came this way from PO; insurance is
not going to be involved. Questions:
-- Local glass shops don't want to install a used windshield. Is it even
worth thinking about doing it myself?
-- When I call local shops to ask about them installing new glass, I should
tell them it's not an insurance job, yes? Any other tips?
-- Do new windshields normally come with the metal attached where the
rearview mirror mounts?
