It's either called a Lincoln LS, minus about 500 pounds, or an Aussie Falcon XR6/8. Rear wheel drive with a manual tranny, ABS/Traction Control, and minimal gadgets.
Definitely not made from the new Camry, I mean, 500. Or just build the Ford 427 Concept with a 6 speed...

I would go back to the original V6 Turned north/south, maybe
bumped to 3.4 or 3.6 liters, and bump HP to about 320+ with
variable cam timing on both intake and exhaust.
place this in a 4-door sedan body, maybe based on the
Lincoln LX, with 6-speed manual with only ONE Overdrive
gear! with an IRS rear suspension/drive. Try to hold weight
to 3400 pounds. Make it stealth, but with good design,
Chris Bangle not invited to participate! :)
Get the best suspension engineers to disect the CTS and BMW
and others to get the best combination of ride and comfort.
The V8 with two position struts was a great idea, but it
can be done without the complexity or cost.
Hold down electronic gadgets, no parking radar, no GPS/map
programs, few automated gadgets, maybe traction control, but
nothing else to get between the driver and the road. Use
the superb steering from the V8 SHO.
Make the seats GREAT seats with full power (one set of
gadgets that would be apprecaited ( with power recline, and
bring back the power wings/side support from the V6 cars.
One other thing, I would see if it couldn't be made a true
four door hardtop. Might be hard to do and keep the body
stiff enough for great handling, but if Ford wanted to
really get back some of the sedan business and trump the
competition, do a really good body with a true hardtop
style. We should be able to make the windows seal to 150
mph by now...don't you think?
That last might not fly, especially if you keep the cost
down to under $35,000, hopefully to under $30,000 if you
leave out most of the unnecessary gadgets.
IT MUST have the bundle of snakes intake similar to the
original!
