I know it's just a rumor, but I had heard from a friend in the auto
engineering world that Ford was considering an SVT Lincoln LS and/or
Navigator.  Let me say it again...it was a rumour and cannot be
substantiated.  The Focus is a definite drop, as mentioned due to sales
figures.  But, it was also mentioned that Ford wanted to turn SVT into a
high-end, high-quality production line.  Once again, was just rumours.

I heard it was being pulled due to low sales of SVT contour, and focus
models. the lightning will remain and so will the cobra but not for another
year or so for the L and 2 years for the cobra.

i know a few guy that work at the local ford plant and the rumor is fairly
old from what i understand. i don't think svt is going away so much as it's
being reworked to be similar to mopar.
