I was never happy with the leather in my 95 (nor have I seen a full
leather Gen 1 or 2 that I thought was 'nice'). It was in very good shape
(clean, no tears, stitching perfect, etc), but I thought the quality was
crud. It was hard, felt cheap and looked like pleather to me (it's why
I've always preferred the split leather/cloth in the V6 cars). The two
Gen 3's I've had were both far superior in quality, appearance and
comfort.

My '93 seats are in very good shape, including the driver's seat. I
Lexol once a year or so.
I even carry my 100 pound Lab in the car with his sharp toes.

I really do love the seats, but for goodness sake, why do they
insist on falling apart, even when they are treated well?? I might be
crazy, but I swear that I've actually seen them get slightly worse after
I use the Lexol on them, or maybe I'm just paying closer attention to
all of the flaws. How does that figure? Maybe I'm just not doing
something right. Out of curiosity, has anyone used the products from
http://www.leatherique.com/?
I've heard they are supposed to be miraculous, but I've never seen any
before/after pictures and would be ever so interested in some from a
SHO.
For that matter, can anyone tell me how often or anything special they
do with the Lexol? I have noticed that the seats do feel softer after
the Lexol has had some time to set in. I feel tempted to actually use
the Leatherique stuff on the seats in the '95, as the fronts are in sad
shape.
I'm not afraid of doing the work, but I don't want to spend a lot of
time for nothing either.
