Hi All,
I haven't posted for awhile - but have been trying to lurk a little bit!
Here's my problem (long story short). I ran my front brakes way too
long - deep grooves in the rotors with a lot of metal coming off.
Finally parked it (outside) for the 2 coldest months of the year. Yes I
know how stupid this was now! Other car had a problem so I was forced
to replace the front brakes. Just went stock for now.
Anyway.............my driver side front slicer has so much rust and
brake crap stuck to it, it won't come off and I've made it even worse
trying different things to get it off. My only options at this point
are to find another driver side slicer or take all 4 down to bare
aluminum and maybe have some center caps machined to match. Has anyone
ever done this? A lot of work yeah - but I think it would look kind of
cool. Really curious about all your thoughts!
Thanks.
