Picked up a 1993 Car & Driver magazine containing an article about a one-off
SHO wagon built for C&D by Ford. 3.2L with auto, crimson on mocha, one-off
rear bumper, just a lovely car. Sleek, luxurious, gorgeous. Ah, fresh
inspiration. I am more convinced than ever that a SHO wagon with 3.2L
conversion and MTX is just the thing for me.
The C&D article mentioned Ford engineers reinforcing the wagon's unibody in
3 or 4 places. I take it that none of the private individuals who have done
SHO wagons have delved into this. I could maybe go for subframe connectors,
that's it.
My 94 wagon came with 112K on a drivetrain I'm about to drop --- subframe,
3.8L engine, auto, harness, computer, and all. I'll be hoping to recoup a
few shillings by selling the lot. Any idea of a fair price to ask? I don't
expect a windfall, just wondering.
