[Shotimes] OT - Computer- to turn off or not

Exactly! '95 is OK, '98 is the best of the '9x series, if I get a machine
with ME, I put either 2000 or '98 depending on the size of the hardware.

I actually run W2K on Pentium 133 with 64 MB of RAM! It's for a shop floor
application. It takes 20 minutes to boot and log in but once it's logged in,
you run for months!

The PC that acts as the server in my house (and which runs the mail
server I use to communicate with these lists) runs 24x7. My gaming
machine is used as needed. My work laptop also runs 24x7. Windows
2000 is a far superior OS to 9x series, to the point if it weren't
for all the security patches would never need to be rebooted.
