Rod bearing noise? Hopefully the mains are okay.

You obviously know the "best route" is to replace them immeditely. If they're making noise, you're probably down on oil pressure and are in severe risk of damaging the crank. You don't want to have to a do a full engine rebuid, complete with crank regrind/replacement do you?

The Clevite bearings work just fine, and for $7.50/set ($45 for the engine) can't be beat. You want new oil pan gaskets (with good gasket-making RTV for the sides). If you've never pulled an oil pan before, practice putting yours back on before doing it for real with the RTV in place. It can be tricky to maneuver properly.

Good luck, and do it soon!

I ended up buying another SHO yesterday. 91 Plus in White full leather you guys know the drill white slicers etc. Has a ton of mods to it. Body is ok nothing to write home about. and it has a ton of bearing noise. So what is the best route for the bearing noise and I want to hear from some people that have done it. If I can get this 91 Plus back in shape I'm going to make the 90 the Daily driver and turn the 91 into the hotrod.
