"A buddy of mine on a local stang board invited me to join them next
sunday, the 9th. He said there was a big turnout last year and would be a lot
of fun had again this year."

I was driving out to a gig in the countryside about 20 miles from DC (MD
Route 28) yesterday noontime when a caravan of maybe sixty 'Stangs cruised by,
headed towards town. I'd say about 1/3 were classic ponies, 1/3 were tricked
recent vintage and the rest regular drivers, and there were a few other '50s and
'60s Fords in the procession.

Didn't see any SHOs though, didn't get many waves back either, although my
own arm was damn near about to fall off. That's fine with me, I'm really not
much of a styler. Heh, heh, I'm driving a '94 Taurus. Let's just see who gets
to the lane merge first ;-)

BTW our drummer, coming out onto the highway after the gig, got t-boned by
this lady and she tore his left rear wheel and suspension right off in one
chunk. It was laying there in the middle of the road and his new tricycle was
sideways up the embankment when I got there. We grabbed his wheel off the road
and we're gonna weld up the A-arm and strut rods, get it chromed and make a new
drummer's throne for him with a revolving seat and McPherson suspension!

Cheers,
